A Quarterly Website Review for Business Owners

Review website facts, contact journeys, dependencies and useful evidence on a regular schedule. Turn findings into a small prioritised worklist.

A website can drift out of date without a dramatic failure. Services change, staff move on and a new booking link never reaches the contact page. A periodic business review catches practical problems routine software updates may miss.

Check the current offer

Review service descriptions, package boundaries, contact information and opening arrangements. Remove unsupported claims and expired promotions. Preserve genuine customer feedback and project context rather than replacing it with invented proof.

Follow the important journeys

On a phone and desktop, inspect navigation, enquiries and relevant buying or booking steps. Use authorised test methods for actions that send messages or involve payment. Record what was observed rather than assuming every integration works because the homepage loads.

  • Review account and renewal ownership.
  • Check important links and documents.
  • Examine genuine enquiries and search data where available.
  • Review recent changes and unresolved incidents.
  • Confirm the next maintenance priorities.

Keep the worklist small enough to act on

Separate urgent defects, customer-facing clarity improvements and optional future features. Assign an owner and a verification method. A list of fifty suggestions with no delivery responsibility rarely improves the website.

Compare evidence honestly

Use consistent definitions for visits, enquiries and purchases. Note missing data and changes in campaigns or demand. The review should help the business decide what to fix next; it should not claim growth that the available records cannot demonstrate.
